How much does it cost to paint a car door?
Discussion
Evening all,
I will be buying a sensible estate in the next couple of months and need to make space on the drive so one car will have to go.
Will probably be the Audi TT (mk1) as although I enjoy it it does like a drink.
The paintwork all around is average I'd say but the offside door is much duller than the rest of the car. When I had some work done on it the mechanic suggested it had paint before and it is now not ageing as well as the rest of the car.
Question is how much would it cost to have it resprayed?
It is not a valuable car so not sure if it is even worth doing. But it is mechanically spot on and had lots of preventative maintanance and is reasonably low milage so wondering if it would be worth doing if I sell, or even just to smarten it up if I keep it.
Cheers guys

First thought which came to mind was £300. But a ballpark could be £300-£500.
I'd advise against going down the 'detailer' route as you've no idea (and neither does he) how thick the paint is or what quality was used. The dull look might be a result of the wrong lacquer which has now broken down and cannot be refinished.
Alternatively, doors for MK1 TT start at £25 on ebay. For that money you'll get original aged paint! ...although at a good bodyshop they should be able to match whatever you have to blend it in properly.
