Anyone have any opinions on both cars or experiences before I go looking?

Also opinions on the 2 purchase options and costings.

I'm just concerned with this inflated market things may go up the swanny with either price wise.

Very easy. The SQ5 has horrible, blatant fake exhausts. It's a no from me on that alone.

Maybe the diesel sq5 then around 2016. Believe its quicker than the new one and sounds decent. Half the price.

Do you reckon? Even euro 6 models. I'm sure they are loved by family's in ulez areas so would have thought they'd hold value.?

To be honest I genuinely hate fake exhausts/tailpipes and the 2018 SQ5 has some of the worst around. It really would bother me enough to not buy one.

ETA - If you can actually get a 2017 X5 40D with that low mileage on it for £25k I don't think you will lose much because a quick look on ebay shows the cheapest one at £27k and it has 110k miles on it.

Also actually has an exhaust connected to the surrounds in the bumper which is fine with me.

I doubt it. I've got no skin in the game as I don't like big SUV's myself but the amount I see on the road appears to be growing by the day.

Just went to the petrol station to fill up the wife's car and in the short time I was there I noticed three land rovers of various models come and go on the forecourt.

I was eyeing up sq5s, the only thing that swayed me towards the x5 was the additional 7 seat option and an infotainment system that's not from 15 years ago. But for an all-rounder that the Mrs can use, I liked the size of the audi. Seems good value considering a normal 2.0 Q5 isnt really much cheaper.

BUT I've now changed my mind as I want to avoid diesels and am looking at 530e's.

Problem with German cars is that they never have the options I'm after no matter what budget I put into the filters!

I'd happily go down the 5 series, a6 route ect

Even lexus, Marmite motors but I like the rx and there pcp is 3.9%

Mrs hates lexus, also doesn't like saloon style cars as much as suv

I would prefer an suv as the foot print is smaller, and they pretty have the same amount of space.

Not as strong as the sq5 gtfv although not a million miles off, i thought the same. Although not a bad thing as I guess you'll likely have more left in the car at the end of the agreement but then the cars dearer.
