This will surely test knowledge but can anyone identify the car from the this photo of the dashboard??

It is a grainy shot but the sweeping line accross the gauge pod with what looks like stitching looks quite unique...

Any ideas anyone?

Why is half the picture missing?

Are you just testing our knowledge, or do you genuinely want to know what car it is?

P.S. I don't have a clue...

Jaguar XE perhaps?

Same question as above though, why block out half the pic?

I don't think I'm right, but the only car I can think of with a dashboard that swoops round is the Jaguar XE (and probably other Jaguar models), however to me the car in the picture looks a little older and sportier.

I think the older Insignias had a similar design.

TVR? Looks like there might be a bonnet scoop/vent.

Look at the state of the road. Run-down and knackered. Council estate?

So I'm going for a 2006 Zafira.

Thanks - the photo was a post on FB - the lower half showed contact info hence it was blocked out - the upper half shows a private residence which the owner didn't wish to be shown.

I thought of Jag XE too however am 90% sure its actually a Nissan GTR which also fits with someone local to area. Hopefully mystery solved - sorry can't go into any further detail.

I looked at a couple of GTR POV videos on youtube and couldn't spot this stitching?

Oh, i get it now, thought that was at the point where windscreen meets the dash but it's round the instruments. My bad.

That black bar thing at the front end of the bonnet is quite odd....almost looks like a bull bar made out of rebar which has been painted black laugh I'm sure it's not...maybe some sort of carbon fibre scoop embedded into the bonnet?

Based on the reflection on the bonnet, the house in question appears to have a white car on the drive way....? Something looks a bit German about it? Maybe a BMW X3?

Will we ever know the answer for sure...?

More importantly, will we ever care?

Blimey that's a tough one, it's like trying to identify a porn star from their anus. Yes I like cars to a sad gittish level, but this is too far!

Now it's been mentioned I agree it's a GTR. Can see the detail in this picture.

From the pictures I've looked at it looks to be a newer one, the early models had a different design.

Volvo 1800, its that chrome i can see (or think i can see) through the window which made me thinking older and the colour which looks a bit vintage - almost an apple green.

I think you are on the right lines with a Nissan.

But I 'm going with current shape Juke.

One needs to look elsewhere on the image.

Look at the body colour of the car that you can just about see. That's a pretty usual colour. Surely easier to pinpoint.

I haven't worked it out yet but still thinking.

Unless that green stuff is just mank/moss on the bottom of the window.

In which case i'm still buggered.

EDIT.

Ok, i can see how that the bit above is very likely a reflection. Look at the wiper blade end cap, it looks to up upside down. So...we have the screen...and the bit above that is a reflection.
I was thinking the black ribbed but was some kind of bonnet / scuttle vent but now it must be a refleciton of a part of the dash........
