Indicator stalk
Discussion
I’ve noticed my indicator sometimes cancels itself when I’m turning right. If I push it up to turn left the stalk returns properly to the centre but when I turn right it comes back up but it’s 10mm shy of centre and it feels slightly weaker than when I push it up. Is there 2 springs in there and could one of them have failed. The stalk doesn’t feel loose.
On a side note my hazards took a few presses to start working but they’re ok now.

The return to centre springs are just the pressure from the 2 microswitches - one for left and one for right - non-adjustable., However the stalk pivot spindle/ bolt has a spring which keeps pressure on the pivot point. If this bolt is too tight the stalk becomes 'sticky' like you describe.
I believe it can be adjusted in place by getting a socket up inside the binnacle, but it is easier if you can see into the mechanism - so I always take the binnacle off.

It doesn’t feel sticky, as I said it works perfectly turning left (if that’s relevant). Perhaps it’s the right turn microswitch spring that has failed. I’ve no idea how it works so I can’t visualise it. It’ll wait till winter if it’s going to be a pita. I was hoping someone would say it’s just a spring become dislodged and a 2 minute fix
