5-Year old Vanquish with only 1,000 miles

What are the risks in buying a 2017 Vanquish which has done only 1,000 miles and what should I look out for.

Try and ensure that it has not been clocked.

Its not that unusual at all to find a 5 year old Aston with such mileage, more so than ever with lockdown having taken up 2 of those years.

So as long as your buying the car from a legitimate source then I would say there is no risk whatsoever. It sounds like it should be like new - get it bought, enjoy it and make sure you drive it!

If it’s got a good warranty you should be okay. But ensure you put a good amount of miles on it during said warranty so all the niggles get sorted out!

At 1k miles, the things probably never even got warm :/

Check the cars history for sure, servicing etc. I wouldn’t pay over the odds for a car with obscenely low mileage. They’re often money pits from what I’ve ever experienced or seen. If you plan on using it you’ll loose a packet anyway

Apart from filling all the blanks in the book, what engineering reasons are there for a service every 200 miles?

sounds bloody perfect to me, get it serviced and checked over at works and that's it.

My Vanquish had 8,000 miles in 3 years when i purchased it.

Although it had been serviced every year and went through the AM Timeless inspection an independent check found 2 misting shock absorbers and a leaking timing chain cover, all was sorted under the warranty.

The reason for the faults was given as lack of use and seals had dried out and then started to leak, albeit in just over a week after purchasing?.
