Any advice gratefully received, picture taken at World Superbikes at the weekend. Whilst I like the shot I'm not sure about my attempts with PS, the colours don't look natural?

Thanks

I would try and highlight the shadowed area slightly (Shadow/Highlight tool). Would try it myself but the PC is on a go slow at the moment! I think the hamster needs feeding maybe.

There seems to be something off about it, but I can't quite put my finger on it... whatever it is, though, it makes for a very unique (and good) shot

maybe a tiny bit dark, but otherwise the colours look fine to me - however my tastes do err towards the side of colourful.

edit to add...

I also like the composition, it's an interesting perspective which works well I think.

Maybe a slightly less tight crop horizontally so that more track is in view would look a touch better, but that's just being picky, it's good as it is.

On the crop, I'd say the opposite to _dobbo_ and have less track and the bike going corner to corner on a true diagonal.

(which just shows that everyone is different so get it how you like it and that's all that's required!)

I think you're right.

Trimming a sliver off the top should do it - so that the front wheel (top right) ia babout the same distance BELOW the top right corner as the rear wheel, bottom left, is ABOVE the BL corner.

But as you say - its a matter of choice. And of curse a similar effect could be achieved by ADDING a bit more track to the bottom and sides!

Thanks for having a look and giving advice, I'm going to have another go and try and lighten it with a play about with cropping.
