Could be a good thing if money is poured into trail building on Follow the Dog/Monkey Trail, or if the trails are extended/improved.

I’d like to think the now extortionate rates for car parking at birches valley would contribute a lot to the trails.
No wonder marquis drive is always full up these days !

I hope so but think that’s already been done.

They extended the start of the red and made a new blue.

I heard that was with the money from the commonwealth games.

Only until that's pay as well, along with a number of others and smaller ones closed.

https://one.network/

For the road closures "vehicle" includes "a pedal cycle in actual use for the purpose of cycling" so that buggers up a number of my routes until the middle of August!

Despite what the notices say the roads are not closed and the signs say closed for one day - 3rd August.

Was looking to nip over on the third and there is a cycle park half way along Slitting Mill Road but . . .

Slitting Mill Road is closed to all traffic including cycles.

Looks like they don't want you there unless you use their car park or their shuttle bus.

Pity as it is only a mile from home.

The car park for the ticket holders is a field near to the centre.
Tickets are only for the arena area, none needed for the rest of the course, so if you're only a mile away ride in.
I've been out today in that area near Marshall points 10, 11, 12 ,Perry's section 7 start, top end of the loop before the jumps and rock section watching the first riders out training.
Training I think is 9-3 each day.
Talking to a Marshall, he's saying the UCI want the 'easy' option on the big drop altered to have a bigger penalty for bailing out.
