Morning all,

Does anybody know why I've suddenly got these codes? It has only just happened since I changed the oil filter and used a oil pump attached to the battery to drain the old oil out.

Stop light comes up on the dash too but maybe that's now to do with no oil in the car (yet to fill it up)

Could I have upset the electrics somehow? Or some oil gone on a sensor as I did spill a bit when taking the filter out.

Any ideas please?

Thanks.

Put the new oil in, start the car, clear the codes then re-read.

P0003 is a voltage related warning so could be related to your pump.

P0245 - is it a turbo diesel? Wastegate actuator related issue. Could be low voltage because of your pump or it could be mechanical. I've seen them in the past on Citroen duggaduggas when a vacuum pipe has failed, for example.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'll put the new oil in first and report back, odd that before I changed the filter and drained the oil it was fine and dandy.

I assumed I may have knocked/got some oil on a sensor or something.

Watch this space!

As promised got an update!

Changed the oil, fiddled with a few wires and squirted some wd contact cleaner in a few random places! and took it for a short run and rescanned it and the codes have disappeared so happy days.

Touch wood it stays that way.

Thanks again guys.

Sorry guys for bringing up an old post, but i have exactly the same fault.

Hi @leo182

I have the exact same faults after i have done an oil change and i also spilled a little.

I hope you can help. Can you remember what plugs or wires you fiddled with?

Best Regards
