Hi all,

I recently acquired a 2014 V12s SS3 with 25k on the clock.

The car is perfect and drives well when you become accustomed to the traits of the SS3.

My only concern with the car is when the car is used in stop start traffic for over 30 mins the gearbox feels like it judders when it engages 1st gear.

So basically you feel it bite and then as it fully engaging it judders for approx 2 secs and then it’s fine.

There is no slip in the clutch, I’ve tested this thoroughly up various hills.

No other issues on changes.

Any ideas or is my clutch on its way out?

I'd do a full oil change. I've recently done gearbox and diff, I had a faint vibration at 1500 rmp, that's now gone, shifts smoother and mpg is up 1.5 mpg (small but worth having at 2 quid a litre!).

What came out wasn't burnt and the pan magnets had very little on them (fitted new genuine pan). I also got nearly a litre more in than I took out. I did, full flush, Inc cooler, removed the valve body, replaced the bridge seal and 4 tube seals for good measure.

i'd suggest the clutch is worn.

From my limited but first hand knowledge of a judder that only starts after 30 mins, it's caused by oil warming up somewhere which means that oil somewhere needs changing.

In my case the torque converter had to be replaced but 'Sportshift 3' means nothing to me, I just have a ZF6 auto box (2007).
