Racing Green to sell Mosler MT900R

TVR dealer takes on 435bhp race-spec road car

TVR dealer Racing Green is set to sell Moslers, which means you could buy the MT900S road car here. Based in Farnham, Hants, the dealer has already sold one car with another in the pipeline.

The MT900R, imported by Martin Short's Rollcentre, is based on the race-spec MT900R, and boasts stonking performance figures. It weighs only 998Kg, so its 5.7-litre, 435bhp Corvette Z06 V8 petrol engine shoves it to 60mph in a mere 3.5sec, and gives it a top speed of 200mph-plus. We hear that these figures were taken from a test car which was 65bhp down on production cars -- and weighed a bit more too -- so the one you can buy ought to be a tad quicker. It puts the power down to the rear wheels via a Porsche gearbox.

The car costs £100,000 and buyers can visit Breckland Technology’s factory in East Dereham, Norfolk, to witness their car being manufactured first-hand.

Stunning looks, rarity, cheap reliable USA power. What's the catch? Looking like my fave car, for a mere 100k. Who needs a zonda now then.

Probably the fact that it's thinly disguised (actually it's not even disguised) racecar.

Well an additional £5k could see some sound proofing and leather cladding for the interior, from a bespoke specialist.

Why not spend half that and build yourself an Ultima GTR? Similar looks, faster, and local factory support.

And you've seen the road car demonstrator have you?

Looks a lot like a road car to me. Put the two side by side, you'll be surprised.

Right..... I've got £6.96 on me at the moment. That's only £99993.04 to go! any of you guys got any spare money? I'm sure we could make £100k between us for a PH pool car.

I have dibs on August 19th to 28th, you can all sort out what days you want it between you!

After seeing Tiff get retain his fastest lap in the MT900 and listening to that awesome sound inside the cabin, I've instantly fell in love with these cars.

They are amazing! The only slightly bad point is that ugly as sin Corvette rear end.

Whoa! Bet you feel like a rockstar now!

(sorry - I'm really bored, been sitting in a library for two hours waiting for a lecture)

Bloody nice car, they had one racing at the Bathurst (was it 24hrs? or or GT series) race last year, I think it came second behind that 7.0l 'production' monaro, which dominates the australian series, though completely breaks the rules, holden not actually making them for road punters. Sorry again, getting sidetracked...

Will the production cars make a genuine 500 hp or 450/475? Are the stated figures (475 hp) achieved with inlet restrictors?
