Wondering if anyone has looked into the (relatively) new TKX offering from Tremec?
5 speed box intended as an upgrade/replacement for the T5, but with upgrades to handle 600ftlb and 8000rpm.
Very sightly shorter ratios (1, 2, 3, 4) and a 15% longer 5th.
I can't find any info on whether anyone has made a bell-housing/adapter that will allow use with the AJP8.

Looks great, but not a drop in replacement
As well as needing the right bolt pattern for the bell housing you would probably also need:
As well as needing the right bolt pattern for the bell housing you would probably also need:
- Different exhaust manifolds to accommodate the wider tail housing
- Different tail support bracket, possibly needing chassis welding
- 26 spline friction discs (rather than the 27 spline discs ours use)
- Longer/shorter propshaft as required
- Different yoke to match the mainshaft splines
I've been looking in to it a bit, it looks a great option.
Will need an adapter from TKX to T5 bellhousing pattern, using the Ford box should accommodate this as it has a slightly longer input shaft.
New box mount made
Someone to make a 26 spline clutch disc - easy enough I think.
Overall length of the Ford box should work with the standard prop and I believe they have kept the same output spline.
Manifolds are a small concern, but I think they should clear, the boxes overlay very similarly.
Shifter is within 1/2" iirc with the Ford box.
