OPC gifts on new car collection
Discussion
When you bought a new Porsche did the salesman give you any little gifts? ie Champagne or flowers etc?
I only ask because after sorting out two sales for mine in Nottingham I got bugger all which is pretty poor considering Sytner BMW next door gave me a load of goodies when I bought a car there.
By the way its not the monetary value of the gifts that I care about but the notion that they are trying to keep you 'sweet' and appreciate the business.

i think what they give you depends on the esteem in which they hold you as a customer.
clearly if you smell, are aesthetically challanged or they simply do not want you back soiling their pristine marble floors, they give you nothing.
if however they see you as a fine outstanding example of an alpha male who physical prowess and rugged good looks exemplifies how they see as a sterotypical stuttgart stallion tamer, then indeed you will get a 'token' gift such as a bottle of champers, a brolly etc which in fairness more than suffices. the real gift is behind the rear wheels...
now guess which category i fell into...

As "a fine outstanding example of an alpha male who physical prowess and rugged good looks exemplifies how they see as a stereotypical Stuttgart stallion tamer" I usually get a bottle of shampoo!
Hmm, I've bought 4x Porker from OPCs over the years, first 3 from the Lancaster group (freebees of Champs & key rings) the last one (996TT) from Mid-Sussex OPC, I only got a keying.....but then I did have a tough deal with them when they tried to stitch me......might have something to do with it – but I would never buy or use them again

I got Champers with a new Boxster, my wife's boss got flowers with hers! Seems if a bloke collects you get bubbly, if a chick collects you get flowers. Got a full tank of fuel as well - worth more than either flowers or bubbly these days (the £4 gallon gets ever closer......).
Look at your invoice Lee, there's something called 'Delivery Charge'.
Nothing is for free, however Nottingham gave my wife a bunch of flowers when she dropped me off to pick up the 997. I must say their whole delivery process was superb.

I got a coffee off Nottingham (used car sales), my Wife was also treated to a coffee, but I did get a full tank of fuel, which I'm assuming everyone does?
I'm not complaining, the car more than makes up for it.
It must be hard work being a motor trader. Our expectations are so rediculously high. It's just occurred to me that when I supply a £10k dealer management system they get a dealer management system. Maybe I should get some Gemini Systems T-Shirts, caps, keyrings, champayne, etc done.
