Any views on the above? what is it like compared to it's competitors?
The fact that it's pre installed on XP is a huge avantage to me but are there any promblems with it in a medium to large network enviroment?
We use it all the time in our offices. The office has about 200 users and also in remote offices up in the midlands.
Perfectly good for free. VNC is also good but the build in xp one does all you need for remote takeovers etc. Also used Dameware which did pretty much the same.
In terms of quality/responsiveness on a given connection, it's usually noticably better than VNC. But VNC can do reverse connections, i.e. the host connects back to the viewer, which is usefull in some situations with firewalls, NAT etc.

We use Dameware extensively to remotely administer end users (250 users in 15 locations)
We use the built in XP Remote Desktop to administer our servers.
This method has saved me 000's of miles in the last year!!

Thanks for all the replies I think we are going with the Remote assistance - mainly becasue it's already there and only requires a few policy changes - no extra liecences.
cheers
