Oil Pressure help needed

Lost oil pressure, light on at tickover no pressure showing on gauge. Car has done 30000 miles. Oil pump looked worn so replaced, still no pressure. Mains and big ends then replaced still no pressure. Checked rocker shafts for wear look fine. Any ideas?

...it sounds obvious I know, but the pump is being primed correctly isn't it ?

Yes has some pressure only 6lbs at tickover

Just what I was thinking. You are sure that it's the actual pressure that's low and not just the reading on the guage I take it.

I thought that the oil pressure sender and the oil warning light sender (?) are independant? Certainly I was driving around for a while with my gauge reading -5psi at tickover but pressure confirmed OK by the garage. A new sender fixed the under-reading.

All this time the oil warning light stayed OFF.

Found it! Last bearing on the cam has fallen out and is just rattling around the cam.
