Just recently purchased 3.4 996 C2 Cab done 36000mls. Well chuffed!!

Having lived with it for a couple of days I think I may have a couple of problems. I would be grateful for some information.

Horn beeps twice about two seconds after opening if the car has been left a while. Maybe a sensor problem anybody had similar or any info.

Secondly air conditioning isn't getting down to temp. How much to expect for gassing.

Thanks for the help

think it may be a sensor,,,e.g. I recall a double beep on a 996 if you try starting with the luggage compartment open....maybe nore sensors on a cab version.

expect to pay between 60-80 quid for a full flush/re-gas on the a/c system.

2 beeps indicate something not shut, like the centre console, the bonnet, or even if the radio has been taken out and replaced with an aftermarket unit.

Has it done this from the off?

Yeah it does it every time but only if its been left a short while.
Everything looks as if it is closed properly.
I get the red light on, on the key symbal on the dash all the time whilst driving in the car.
I think we have a problem!

Is the air con a OPC job or can specialist do it. Any recommendations where in North West?

Radio earth problem. Remove and refit the radio into the cage and the beep should stop.

We have an a/c specialist who works through us, should you need assistance in keeping your cool.
