Hi,

The steering wheel (Alcantara) on my V12V is getting a bit tired, it’s not bad, but I fancy freshening it up.

Thinking just an oem refinish. But wondered has anyone added a 12 o’clock marker or done coloured stitching etc? Any photos? Just interested what might be nicer without going too far off the original.

Thanks

Have you tried just cleaning it?

I use a clean damp microfibre cloth with clean water, no detergent, or if you do need detergent, use a really small amount in the water and them attempt to rinse it off again with a second damn cloth in just clean water only.

Usually takes a couple of hours to dry but its remarkable how effectively it removes any build up from your hands during driving.

Thanks both. It’s got some “bubbling” at the top. I have thought about taking a razor to it to trim it and then try to clean.

Hi, when I bought my V12 Vantage back in Sept 14 it had a new steering fitted complete with stitching at 12 o’clock, see photo.

Any chance of photo / any detail. I approached Royal they offered a wheel exchange and trim for circa £220

Not quite original but far more comfortable and better to hold than the stock wheel
