Local bodyshop popped this on FB this week as a recently completed full respray amongst other work, for a bit of fun anybody want to have a go and ID it?

A G series Targa with some backdating?

The mirror shape is 1974 onwards but they were early impact bumper cars ... this presents as pre-impact (pre 1973) so which bit is modified ?

The wheels look after market so I would say it's a 2.7 or possibly a 3.0litre ?

I’m going with later shell fitted with earlier bumpers on the basis of how ‘Neat’ the rear window fit is. It looks a lot baggier on earlier cars

The Pre '65 ? cars had plastic rear windows ...

The Carrera 3.0 had wider arches, being a narrow body body, it’s a 2.7. I recon it’s a ‘77 2.7 that’s been backdated

70s car with front/rear end metalwork and cosmetics backdated to early 60s.

No affiliation, i just follow them as they resprayed my 996 and did a great job.
