Calliper mounting bolt spacers

I just fitted a set of Black Diamond Discs and Pads, but had to move the position of the spacers on the mounting bolts from between the calliper and hub to outside the calliper.

This was because the disc was rubbing against the calliper if fitted to the original posiiton. Has anyone else come across this?

It seems to be ok, but I'm not going to do any bedding in till I'm positive I havent done something really stupid.

When I changed my discs over to grooved/drilled. I had to remove the spaces to stop any rubbing.

That was about 1000 miles ago and no problems since.

I tried it without any at all, but the alignment was slightly off.

If you've removed yours and its ok, that's a pretty good indication that as long as there's no rubbing I should be alright?

I'll monitor the wear on the disc and take it easy for a while. About 5 mins!!

Yep, I helped Tacoma change to Black Diamond discs, and the brakes were locked solid with the spacers in their original position. Removed them, and it was fine.
