I’d rather they weren’t caught by the police.
Think a few angry farmers might be able to dole out a much more suitable punishment…

I reckon we all have suspicions as to what sort of people do deliberately destructive stuff in the cundryside with vehicles etc, and who are great at animal welfare too.

Probably the same sort of person that enjoys eating intensely farmed meat.

This thread has zero to do with animal husbandry.

This is about a specific, deliberate, & pre-meditated act of destruction of someone's livestock & damage to their livelihood.

frown That's a horrible, cruel, and slightly bizarre crime. Let's hope the farmers catch them. I'm sure the courts will do next to nothing.

It is absolutely NOT the norm. Stuff like this happens very very rarely with livestock.
I’d hand myself into the nearest station after I got my hands on anyone who did that to my sheep.

When I said the norm I meant a crime seen a lot I assumed this was someone killing for the illegal sale but I'm not sure it was now.

They have arrested a 17 year old about this so lets hope the scum is run over himself once found.

Rural areas near heavily populated towns with feral teenagers is becoming a big problem in society.

'PC Sebastian Haggett, from the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into this matter...'

Which normally translates to - 'we haven't got a clue who did it, and how could we, it was in a field in the countryside in the middle of nowhere'.

Other than someone has been arrested so they have an idea who did it wink.

Article makes me laugh. Farm in Wiltshire, yet Dorset are investigating it. Quality reporting there.

Area of Tollard Royal, which is on the border of Dorset and Wiltshire, so could quite conceivably have the farmhouse in one county and the field where the incident happened in the other.

The county lines issue is why a lot of crime investigation around here falls into a black hole.
