I heard a rumor that this Optimax fuel has some kind of shelf life, does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

Apparently it is nowhere near as potent if not used within the first week....

Surely this is rubbish, anyone?

Will let you know this weekend - we put some in the Rotovator in the Spring - time to give it an airing on the allotment.

What sort of times are you hoping to set from one end of the alloyment to the other then

Well the Briggs & Stratton puts out all of 4 bhp so I recon that is about 2 hours

I believe that to be somewhat true - the figure I heard was 2 RON per 10 weeks. I think after that it didn't lose much more, as the last couple of points are from various additives that disappear/break down quickly....Pretty sure that was from Shell itself
