Yesterday on the Fosse Way between Moreton and Bourton, there were myriads of Austin 7s of all description. Was there a club meeting in the area?

That would be for the Austin Seven centenary event, held at Prescott, yesterday.

They’re actually quite easy and fun things to drive.
My only experience was a recent visit to “Drive My Dad’s Car“ at Great British Car Journey in Ambergate, Derbyshires

No. you'd probably quite enjoy it. You just have to forget anything you've driven to date and start with first principles - they're lovely and mechanical and really rather good fun. We have one in the garage at home that my son and I are getting going - completely different to anything else we have but genuinely engaging and enjoyable.
