I don't always agree with everything BvG says, but man his last video hit home.

Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NySnSUnvJJk

I don't really have any mental health issues, but I am super stressed right now, got a lot going on. It's one of those things where I'm fine on the surface, but if someone genuinely asked me, "No really, how are you doing?" I'd probably start welling up. I have lots of amazing friends, but like many men, life gets in the way, so we never really relax or talk that much.

Anyway, in the spirit of his video, I've just booked three hotels in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania for a four day road trip at the end of the month. I don't know why, whether it's because I haven't been anywhere in years, or because of what I've got going on, but I'm SUPER nervous. I don't think I've ever been this anxious about anything. Once I'm over the border and on my way I'll probably be fine.

Apprehensive but happy.

P.S. Baron/Chris if you ever read these threads. Motorcycling, going new places, speaking to new people, and just talking about stuff can really help, thanks for everything you do.

Have a great trip. Enjoy the time spent with just you, the bike and the road. No better therapy!

Myself and my Mrs have both had the stickers on our bikes for a while now. I believe he’s having to charge for them now though? We got ours during the 1st release when they were still free.

While I don’t suffer from any mental health issues myself, my missus can really struggle with depression and riding her bike helps her massively.

Enjoy your trip Bob, and I’m sure it will do you good.

Have you had anyone approach you in response to the stickers airsafari87?

Sorry about a QS loosening off and damaging the casting finish on your frame. I almost got a yellow one in May.

Pennsylvania has great scenery but a lot of strictly enforced 55mph speed limits.

West Virginia is a better bet. Mostly 70 there.

Not yet. The sticker is quite subtle though.

Cheers Bud. It’s just one of those things and isn’t a major problem.
I’m taking it to the dealer tomorrow and leaving it with them till it’s sorted.
It’ll be reet though.

WV is really great, but too far away for a long weekend. I'm just gonna take it easy, some areas are 70mph in PA, but I'll be in the mountains anyway, the route I'm planning doesn't have a straight road in it! laugh

Ride safe, have a great time! We're planning a ride round Lake Erie in September, so we'll also get a few PA miles.

Made it back alive! laugh

I took far too many tools 'just in case'... I could do with figuring out a lightweight toolkit.

Membership of a good recovery organisation is pretty light! wink
