I’ve got a weird one…our Dometic fridge pours water out the back (as in outside of the fridge) when it’s on gas or on 230v turned up too high. The drain tube (which sits much lower) is clear.

Ultimately it looks like this has knackered the element as it trips the breakers on 230v now.

Any ideas?

In the image you can just about see all the water seeping out the top of the fridge.

Won't be a fridge problem, probably the tap above it.

Caravan ?

It’s a motorhome, but this only happens when the fridge is on. It did it last year but I got around it by turning the fridge down. Now the element’s shot it so I tried gas…that’s when this happened.

We’ve been away a good few times between it first happening and now and got away with it.

What model fridge is it ?

Does seem like an odd place for water to form, unless you have some damage to it exposing the significantly cooler skin allowing water to condensate.

What is above the fridge?

I must admit I'd be inspecting the top of it and rule out a spontaneous leak elsewhere.

It’s a Dometic RM7270. The sink is above the fridge - so you’d think that was an obvious conclusion really! But…touch wood….we’ve never seen water with the fridge off. I’ve just flushed all the tanks/pipes/taps with cleaner and didn’t see a drop.
