Purpose of a Company Like This?
Discussion
Anyone got any thoughts on what the purpose of a company such as the below is for?
48 appointments with 46 resignations, all directors and all resigned after only a few months of being appointed. The main company who set this up seems to have a raft of similar companies both set up for the same purpose and dissolved.

Maybe something to do with a black of flats where each flat owner is a director of the management company
I would have thought not given they are only on the books for a few months at a time and with over 250 other companies run by the main 'director' operating in a similar fashion something else would seem likely.https://find-and-update.company-information.servic...
One of those linked is similar. Possibly self employed Ltd company staffing?

Haha, all the company’s listed at the address are named after birds.
Perhaps I’m due a Parrot.
I’d say most likely lots of small businesses set up by an agency to offer ‘umbrella’ services or take advantage of small businesses NI relief by doing payroll on behalf of a larger client.
Bank statements would be interesting, balance sheets all seem to match yr on yr.
Ahem..

Very odd.
If it were an accountancy practice, lots of limited companies and/or directors would be listed at a particular address linked to many limited companies, rather than an unusually high number of directors all in just one company.
All the appointed and subsequently resigned directors' occupations are fairly ordinary. 'Lorry driver', 'warehouse operative', 'sales admin', 'labourer', 'nursery assistant', 'cleaner' etc. so the insurance aspect might not be so farfetched.
Anyway, dormant accounts filed and it's dissolved now, so good luck getting to the bottom of it.

Interesting that insurance is mentioned again.
Any thoughts on the 'directorship' being used to take advantage of an immigration policy to bring someone into the UK as a spouse of a UK limited company director?

Some of the appointed directors' nationalities include Romanian, Lithuania, Polish, Irish, Hungarian, Dutch, although the majority British.Any thoughts on the 'directorship' being used to take advantage of an immigration policy to bring someone into the UK as a spouse of a UK limited company director?

Again, not such a farfetched idea but good luck getting to the bottom of it. If the company was being used as a vehicle to help immigration applications or just get cheaper car insurance, then you can be absolutely sure there will be hundreds or even thousands more.
Even more weird is the number of short term 'owners' of more than 75% of the shares:

Seems to have changed hands every few months before being dissolved.

Not sure how it works in the UK, but in Belgium people are often made an associate in a general company that then hires these 'associates' out to other businesses below market/legal wages and without any form of employee protection/insurance/rules.
Basically you get a share of an empty company and then get to be a driver/cleaner/... working very long hours for very little pay. It's especially popular with retirees and as a second job.
