Hi, been having trouble getting in and out of my Cerb! All door and boot buttons have occasionally been inoperative and it seems my passenger door close switch is dicky and that’s confusing the module- when the buttons are inoperable I open the passenger door with the emergency release and reclose it to solve the issue, but the detection is off and sometimes takes a few tries (interior lights staying on being the clue). Pretty much every time I finish a journey I have to do the emergency release procedure and I think the switch is rattling loose on the move. Anyone had similar and know how to fix?

ETA: Reed switch is the name of the bugger that I think is causing my grief, the name eluded me when writing the OP. Also for info, windows are still fully operational even when the door and boot controls are having a moment. Thank fk they are else I’d have been stuck outside the car several times by now hehe

Just done this with mine. It was just dirty connectors in the mag switch plug in the door. Worth cleaning all the connectors in the door whilst it's apart
If your mag switch has gone they are easily got from RS components

OP, it sounds like your reed switch just needs a little adjustment. Move it so it sticks out of the door just a little further, it sounds like it is sometimes sensing that the door is open when it is in fact closed, mine has done this a few times over the years and it confuses the control box making it lock up and cease to function.

From my experience when the reed switch fails it is normally constant and not intermittent.

You could put a blob of blu-tac on it and shut the door to see what kind of gap there is, and compare with the other side.

I found it useful checking that the reed switch was working reliably just by using a magnet (such as the telescopic magnet pen you'll have in your toolbox)

Thank you all for the help, especially the magnet trick which worked wonders for proving that the reed switch was in fact reliable- I adjusted the distance slightly and now it seems to be working just fine. I suppose maybe a little bit of door droop over time or something, just took it a little too far from the magnet for its tolerance.
