Hello All,
Just thought I'd introduce myself to this part of the forum. I've just purchased a Taycan Sport Turismo (the basic RWD) and one week in I'm loving it!

I'd previously looked at an i3S a few years ago (when living in the South of England), but decided against it as I was using the car for occasional longer journeys and the infrastructure wasn't as comprehensive as it is now, so continued with ICE.

I live on the Isle of Man, the infrastructure here is improving, but home charging is probably still a necessity and the fastest charger on-Island is currently 50KW. I'll be visiting friends in North Yorkshire early next month and the Taycan will definitely be my choice for the trip.

Not as fast as a Turbo S! But certainly fast enough. Really impressed with the driving dynamics.

Nice - congrats.

I have an order in for a GTS Sport Turismo. If I'm lucky it might get here in the next few years smile

Replacing the Aston I sold you a few years ago now, Andy? Yes, it’s that dodgy ex-car salesman Bryan here! How are you?

I’ve changed tack and now in automotive media specialising in EVs on YouTube now. Just completed our road test review of the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo. Video goes out next week.

Started seeing one or two of these around and about now.

The best all round EV out there at the moment I reckon.

Thanks All,

Still enjoying EV life 2 weeks in!

I'm still learning about the car (thank you numerous YouTube videos) and playing with things like regeneration etc. Also made the rookie mistake of scheduling both my home charger (via its app) and the car to charge at particular times, which causes all sorts of confusion - it's one or the other I now know...

The big test for me is my trip to North Yorkshire next weekend from the Island, but I'm really looking forward to using the public charging network and learning a little more about the whole EV thing.

I found the lack of rear legroom to be an issue (surprisingly)

I have to agree it’s not as big as I’d like but my kids are both under 10 and it’s plenty for them at the moment. There are time when I really miss my RRS and interior space is definitely one of those factors that I miss.

That said I am pretty sure I will be changing my Taycan saloon for a Sport Turismo this year as it will enable us to take our dogs with us when we go away for the weekend.

Seriously ? I took 4 friends to the pub this week , not a single complaint .
Are all your back seat passengers massive ?

I'm quite tall and the children are now hitting their teenage years so growing rapidly. It wasn't just me. Chap (similar height) was looking at the car just prior to me and we got chatting - he pointed out the lack of rear leg room which made it a non-starter for him. I don't think it's any better than the Model 3 which we have currently.

Apparently the E Macan is due at some point which looks promising, but in the meantime, not sure. confused

I’m seriously thinking about going electric and the Taycan is on my short list, my main concern is the range and charging network, on that score the Tesla S wins for me. I’d be interested to know how you get on with the Yorkshire trip, range and ease of charging etc.

Yes, it’s pretty useless for passengers if you’re tall/have long legs. Shortarse drivers and front passengers only if you want to be able to comfortably fit adults in the back. Waiting for a LWB “Executive” model like they do with the Panamera, but not holding my breath.
