When I bought this car with my man maths I didn't even think about the odd time I would want to carry the kids bikes and mine.

When I realised there are no roof rails on it or no written evidence of anyone fitting a tow bar to it to fit a tow bar carrier it has left me a little stumped

Any ideas? I've seen the sea sucker vacuum cup roof racks but they do seem extremely pricey and would leave me nervous on a long motorway run!

The lack of bike carrying killed them for me when I was considering one.

No idea if they’ll ship to the UK, but there is this:

I have a seasucker system for the skis (R53 Mini where the roof racks are no longer made). Seems to works well though I've not used it on the motorway.

Mine stays on the car for weeks at a time in the winter and rarely needs adjusting (though I do check every time I drive)

A Seasucker will work perfectly. I’ve had one and no reliability issues.

Are you sure about the tow-bar?

I know that BMW do one for the 6 GC and I'm sure I've see pictures of a 6 coupe with a tow-bar fitted. I'm sure it was done by a company in Towcester.

I'll see if I can find the details.

Thank you, the eBay one specifically says convertible, what possibly could be the difference underneath? Had the same with the first response I had for the bike carrier, it says specifically pre face lift? What's the bloody difference underneath, surely they would all fit

This might be the one! I will look into this one, plenty second hand by the looks of it. Cheers

Little picture of the saris bike carrier mocked up on the car today, fits really well. This is a three bike version which I have borrowed for my trip but will invest once its had a full load trial.

Of course I will centre it and tidy the straps up, but it seems to fir fine. Forum advice at its best!
