I currently have a GF4200 64meg which is unable to play BF2.........any suggestions for a replacement (approx £100-£150) that will run the game & provide a little future-proofing as well as being relatively fool-proof as I'm hopeless at tweeking & keeping up to date with drivers?

TIA :)

I bought a Nidia 5700 (256MB) for £150 at Pc world a year ago and now need to upgrade for BF2.

looking at a 7800GFX

but for £150Max I would try the a 6600 or 6800 nvidia graphics cards. if you are lucky. If you can stretch to £250 go for the 6800Unltra. Highly recommeded

Thanks remal - should I worry about PCI Express being mentioned regarding a card ie: http://uk.shopping.com/xPF-VGA_LEADTEK_GF_PX6800TDH_256M_RT

I'm no PC wizard, so don't want to get anything that won't fit my moboard and would the above be worth a look?

your motherboard will need an agp card. you cant run pci express without a new motherboard

either get a 6600 or an ati x800 maybe
