Hello,

One fog light on my 320i touring F31 is not working.

I have tried to change the bulb however on taking the covering off the wheel arch I'm met with these fog lights (see pics). I can't simply twist the light out of the back of the unit and replace the bulb. The bulb appears to be built inside the unit.

Do these require a complete new set? Or is there a way to just replace the LED/bulb?

Sorry if not too clear! Thank you.

They probably are a ‘sealed unit’.
I have used front fog-lights 3 times in 50+ years, the last time was decades ago. I must admit, nothing could beat them in the one occasion in falling snow, where the lights go under the driving snow, whereas dipped headlights just illuminate the snow as it comes toward the windscreen. Overall, not a fan of fog lights, especially dicks who use them in rain! Grrrrr.

The more I research the more likely they are to be sealed.

smile "you wouldn't have your window wipers in when it's not raining, so why have your fog lights on when it's not foggy"

You can have fog lights on in falling snow. As said below, they are much, much better than dipped headlights.
