Tyres - keep or replace

Looking at condition of my tyres - do these need replacing?

I personally would be happy to drive on those until they are down to the wear markers.

I am sure there will be lots of "only contact with the road" posts about how you are dicing with death every time you drive the car soon.

Definitely...they're supposed to be black, and your's are grey!

Other than that, they 'look' fine from the single photo and zero context you've offered.

There is nothing wrong with that picture.

Quite a few little nicks that suggest you park in a car park with debris or swarf? Is there worse damage elsewhere?

They look fine. Check the condition of the sidewall and the dote code (4 digits week and year of manufacture WWYY).
If the sidewall isn't perished or cracked, and they aren't ridiculously old then they're fine. Nicks in the surface of the tread blocks are to be expected - you drive on those bits!

They should be fine, (lots of surface stress from maybe ‘dry-steering’ , gravel surface? Don’t worry, there’s more rubber below that!)

From that photo, I'm guessing that there is about 3-4 mm of tread depth left. Probably fine for some miles yet but it is about the depth that I usually notice a clear deterioration of grip in the wet so start looking for something interesting as replacements. Depends a lot on how much you drive in very wet conditions. For me its how the tyres actually perform in the wet that governs when I chicken out and buy new ones but I haven't got anywhere near the wear bars for a very long time before replacing.
