Anyone know waiting time for a prebooked rebuild?

I booked a rebuild and it took 4 days from dropping the car off to collecting it again - Very efficient service at TVR Power.

Power rebuilt my Tuscan last year in one week but it took 2 more weeks to get back to the dealer!!!

Thanks for the feedback - but this rebuild is a free one from the factory promised at the end of last year -Not one of the usual 'go bang' stories as I'm still driving it around - something to do with the coolent.

I have a letter from TVR to phone the factory in the middle of August to book it in at the end of August - but before I do that I was interested to know if anyone knew what the waiting time at the factory was - At one stage emergency 'just went bang' work was taking 10+ weeks and prebooked engine work was taking 2 weeks but I had heard that had changed and all rebuild work was taking 10+ weeks.

I know it is easy enough to ring the factory but since my TVR is my only car I need to put a contingency together for a replacment vehicle and wanted some idea of this before talking dates.

SIMON BINSTEAD if you out there let me know if you're thinking of selling my old Griff!! - Ahhh the reliability of a V8 engine.

They may well give you a loan car if you explain that the TVR is your only transport. I'm driving one of their T350's at the moment.

I am intrigued is yours with the factory for a rebuild - did you have to ask or make a case for a loan car - can you give me any advice as to how I could position my case - email me via my profile if you prefer.
