Looking in the mirror this morning whilst shaving, decided that ol' Mutt - actually I like that name, maybe I should change my log in, what do you think? - is beginning to look a bit craggy round the edges and perhaps nature needs a helping hand if I am to keep, ahem, my youthful good looks :).

So, PH ladyboys and metrosexuals, do you make like Beckham and moisturise? If so, what do you use, how much does it cost, and more importantly, does it work, or would a handful of old sump oil be just as effective?

from a girly perspective...

there's nothing more attractive than a moisturised man.

So there - get yourself a vat of the stuff.

(ooh - and more kissable too!)

Yep, make like beckham and moisturise.... I personally don't care what people think when they find out, Im not ashamed to admit I use these type of products.

L'oreal and nivea (sp on both probably), are good.

One plus side and the deciding factor for me using it is, Im 27 and most people still place me around the 22/23 mark and the last compliment was only was week of a pretty 22 year old women.

now going to run off and hide now

I use some Clinique stuff. I used to have really dry skin but it's worked wonders. The problem is it's about £20 a small bottle but seeing as I got it as a present I don't really care (until it runs out that is).

Get a grip Mutt. You should only use gritty mud to cover your face. Are you gay or wot ?

Actually, Nivia is quite good

Slapping on a bit of moisturiser is hardly going to make you any less of a man. And in any case, some men wear perfume, ie, aftershave.

Actually, thinking about it - nice smelly moisturiser is the best way to go for a man.

Aftershave I find too overpowering most of the time, but perfumed moisturiser is more subtle AND keeps your cheeks oh-so soft!

A mate of mine might have allegedly told me (no, really!...oh who am I kidding? ) that one of those exfoliating facial scrubs (with the little bits of grit in it) is the business if used before moisturising...

A mate of mine uses that too - really helps with the shaving (apparently). He also recommends Nivea (has tried Clinique but can't live with the cost). He also advises that dying one's hair ginger will increase the 'hottie points', turn you into a love god and provide eternal youthful looks...

Nonces the lot of you.

All you need is Swarfega with a dash of WD40 behind the ears on the Friday night pull.

Anything more and you might as well start wearing linen trousers and sandals.

I use the Clinique range. Excellent it is too - better than Nivea IMHO but the difference is in the cost.

Be very carefull with this, you have to match your oil to your skin type. I have to use EP90 (or at a push ATF)

I still occasionally get shaving rash, and dry skin and generally look flakey if I don't look after my skin - so moisturiser gets my vote. Simple do some stuff that does the trick.

I still wet shave with a broken bottle each morning though, if that helps. Now where did I put my thong?

Ditto with the Clarins stuff... but it is good.

Common misconception.

Aftershave is not perfume.

Its merely to make you look hard as you wince in pain when applying following shaving (extra points for blunt razor action)

Bloody moistureiser indeed.

We'll be discussing the best place to get a BCS next...

I use that gritty stuff sometimes, I'm pretty lazy though, it says on the packet to only use it twice a week or so which sold me Mainly it helps get rid of all that dead skin which seems to build up, I still always seem to forget to use it though. I also use one of those shaving gel things which has built in moisturiser, anything thats less effort is good in my book. Must work too since most people seem suprised that I am not under 16...

Just grow a beard, a nice neatly trimmed one is just the job then who cares..........

and you can still use the WD40 (though I prefer chain lube) behind your ears

My particular chain lube goes on dry, and keeps me fragrent for about 350 miles

Titiany's absolutely spot on. What's sexy about snuggling up to someone and finding that you've lost the top two layers of your skin on their face? Just in case you're not sure, the answer's 'nothing'. Get moisturising boys!

Which brings me to another point - hand cream. Strong hands are manly, but take a bit of care - remember that you sometimes put your hands in delicate places. With some blokes, it would be preferable to give yourself a rub down with sandpaper and carpet gripper than let them 'go there'.

Hope that helps
