Independant servicing

that is useful thank you
As far a an independant, I would have thought any decent Renault sport specialist would be up to the task. Somethat that does the Megane and Clio RS models etc. Its the same engine and similar transmission to the Megane RS.
While I'm sure you are right, I'd think Alpine would be unhappy about it - or they would have allowed them to do it already. It would certainly make life much easier if they could at least do routine servicing. As far a an independant, I would have thought any decent Renault sport specialist would be up to the task. Not used them myself yet but will do once the car is 3yrs old - K-Tec Racing in Dorset have a very good reputation in the Renault Sport community and are starting to do Alpine parts.
That's good to hear. I reckon a few Renault Sport Indy's with good rep will start to do work on Alpines so when the warranty expires we owners have some more choice. Not been very impressed with official service garages so far! So was hoping to use K-Tec Racing in Ferndown (not too far from me) as they had a good reputation etc but I've just heard back from the them and they closed their workshop at the end of December.
Looks like I'll have to head to Alpine Bristol instead, being based in Dorset. Anyone with experiences of Bristol for servicing?

I just use the local independent, not a specialist (they do everything up to and including the local used Ferrari place's work). All official parts, done to the schedule. They've said it's easy to work on.
Similarly, I used a local indy for a brake fluid change, and did the cabin filter myself. The indy wasn't fazed by the car -after all, mechanically it's a Megane once the undertray is off, even if the access is different...Sporky said:

They are. I've replaced all discs and pads many times, air filter, oil change, gearbox oil change, cabin filter plus a few other bits and bobs. Plugs will be next on the list but they're easy to do once the 3 nuts holding the charge cooler are removed. At the end of the day, it's just a car...Gassing Station | Alpine | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
