Aston Martin’s DB9 Volante ROPs deployment

I think the subject has been discussed before but my ROPs went off (drivers side) for no good reason. I was neither drifting or driving hard. The consequence is I have lost the trim which covers the rollover hoop. From Aston this small piece of plastic covered in leather is over £1000! Has anyone else lost said item and found a more cost effective replacement. If so I would be extremely grateful for the contact details.

Sorry to hear that but at least the roof was down and you didnt lose the rear screen!

On a track day, I make sure I run with the roof down to prevent that.

I would suggest looking for a replacement cover online from a used parts seller, or maybe even get one made by a trimmers, it would surely be less than a grand!
