Worst mileage history

I just saw a particularly unloved E39 M5 while I was waiting for my fish and chips and ran the plate. Apart from being SORNed and on the road, the mileage history was a thing of wonder. Why would anyone do this? The car looked like it’d done 400k miles.

Doesn’t look like anything special.
Mileage was unreadable at some points (probably due to faulty LCD cluster or something) which is why it reads as 0 on the app. And then the other things would be because the tester just entered it incorrectly. It can be rectified using the DVLA.

It was possibly clocked once, in 2009. I don’t think the GOV UK checker was around then so it could have passed under the radar. Or its just the cluster again.

And the final MOT jsut shows it did barely any miles between its last mot, probably due to being off the road.
And then the tester entered it incorrectly again because of the LCD cluster being faulty

E39 is notorious for the cluster going. Seems like a pretty unloved example.
