Another VED refund question?

I have sold my car to a main dealer. They are collecting it on Monday and have already paid in full as I know them.

Tomorrow is the 31st and I am planning on going onto the dvla site before 7pm to say I have sold it to a garage which will trigger the cancellation of the VED.

It’s only £40 for an extra months in terms of a refund but that’s the difference between doing it tomorrow versus Monday morning.

Does anyone know if when I do it online it triggers the refund from that exact time or am I too late and it depends when they process it on the next working day or something?

Is it worth doing it tomorrow to get the extra months refund?

Do you need to use the car today/tomorrow? If not then SORN it today which will trigger the refund. Do the change of registered keeper on Monday.

I do need to use it today and tomorrow yes but if i Sorn it I don’t think I need to do it before 7pm tomorrow.

I think I can sort it anytime tomorrow evening.
