I'm sure that the AT ad for a car I am looking at has been adjusted upwards, and the cynic in me thinks this might be as a result of me sending over the details/history/images of the car I'm looking to part exchange.

Is there a way to find out?

Someone with far more IT knowledge than me will surely be along soon to answer your question, but my query to you is: What difference does it make?

The seller can adjust the price up or down for any reason or no reason, at any time, until the money changes hands.

The only decision you need to make is if you want to buy it at whatever price they claim they want for it.

If you think it’s too expensive, negotiate, make them an offer, or buy a different one.

Maybe they realised they had advertised it too cheaply and bumped it up when they got a heap of enquiries?

I’m not suggesting it’s good service from the vendor, but it just is what it is.

If I'm right and they've dropped a couple of thousand onto the asking price, just a couple of hours after I sent over my part-ex info, that raises alarm bells as to what kind of trader I'm considering buying from. So as well as the financial difference, in that it's no longer the price it used to be, there's the fundamental difference that I simply won't buy the car if this chap is a messer.

I did, and the value appears to have changed on that bookmark.

(Although, I'm not ruling out that I've just forgotten the price... )

Are you looking at the brief description when you hover your cursor over the bookmark?

Try the total car check site as that often lists previously seen advertised prices.
