Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: in a recent What Car? comparison test against the Kia EV6 and Toyota bZ4X, my Ford Mustang Mach-E comprehensively finished third and last, well behind its rivals with a two-star rating and what felt like a devastating verdict.

And pretty good proof that anyone who buys a car based on a magazine review rather than actually driving it themselves is, frankly, an idiot.Article is What Car's long-termer Mach-E.

Yes the MachE has a harder, more sporting ride than the EV6 (which personally i though was a bit of blancmange) but er so what. Drive them both, buy the one you most like or suits you most. If you want a soft ride and less sharp handling, get the EV6, if you want better handling and can put up with the harder ride, get the MachE.
There are no really bad cars any longer, and the differences are so so minor as to be almost un-noticable by the average owner and certainly un-noticed after a few weeks of owning the car.....
Car magazines and reviews are designed to make people buy the mag or visit the website, shock "OMG, this car is so awful" type click bait headlines and reviews are common place and generally mostly bobbins. Make you own mind up instead :-)

Funnily enough, the criticism of the ride quality is the same as is levelled at the v8 GT, i.e. A minor niggle.
The secret to car types slagging off your car is to say the thing they can't argue with: "I like it".
Forums are full of people passing comments on cars they have never driven. You've driven it, you're already more qualified to comment than 99.x% of people commenting (including me, because I haven't driven one).
Enjoy.
Ignore the grumpy old farts on here. Most of them are still pissed off about keyless entry and adaptive cruise (neither of which the majority have experience of either!).

True, no really bad cars in the Austin Princess mould but still plenty of utter crap being sold.
bland, yes. crap, not really. i've just got a vauxhall combo-e which would have the archetypal PHer recoil in horror. does what we need it to do for lots of reasons. got a couple of longish trips planned where we'll find out for real what the charging infrastructure is about (anglesey, you really do need to up your game with this looking at zap-map!). carries 3 labs in the back, yep. carries 4 barrels of beer, yep. more relaxing than Morgan freeman narrating a book, yep. looks like i'm about to wheel a wheelchair into the boot, yep!
oddly enough, i only found it on a forecourt as someone had cancelled a mobility order.
