Son is 17 in a few months time and I'm looking at the on line set up for applying for his Provisional Driving Licence.
He doesn't have a passport so you get directed to the "old application" pages.
Half way through completing the application it tells you that because he is under 17 years of age he can only apply for a Provisional "Moped" Licence.
Does that automatically correct itself when he turns 17 r does he need to then reapply?
Anyone able to confirm the system/procedure please?

I got my daughters provisional licence before she was 17 and booked her theory test for a couple of months after her birthday.

First driving lesson on her 17th birthday and the instructor just checked her licence and off she went.

Passed first time with no minors as well, must've been all the instruction I gave her, driving
