The Timeless search facility has changed

And not obviously for the better.
Now one has to put in a location rather than select U.K., which is not the end of the world. But unless I am missing something, on my phone the only way to order your search results is by distance from your stated location. Try as I might I can’t find how to order them by price or age.
Bit tiresome. If anyone can solve the “how to” mystery, please say so!

Change the software and we know what often happens.
Before going live, they should first test it using outside people, who are unfamiliar with the program.
I put in the name of a UK town for the location. It then even produced a full postcode, perhaps the town square!
Selected DBX model.
'FIND YOURS' is confusing, but it means SEARCH.
A list then appeared, which looked normal at this stage.
Where the Distance box is, you can select other criteria.
I chose Price - Low to High.
The displayed list then changed, showing the lowest price car first. They wanted payment in US Dollars though! -
The first car is 3,877 miles from the UK location entered!
I won't bother viewing that car. -
There are 130 used DBX cars advertised.
The second one is 3,355 miles away and the car only has 3,098 miles on the odometer !
You therefore must first have to enter a country. As they had already displayed a full UK postcode, you would think they know where we are, or is that too logical?
Why make things simple, when complexity is available. An excellent way to put off potential customers.
I note that their website URL shows, https://preowned.astonmartin.com.
Pre-owned was the name before Timeless.
EDIT - Joking aside, I see that we can now select specific versions of a model, eg. V8V N430 Coupe.
That is probably a new feature and should be helpful.

ked, I can't get anything.Sorry chaps - on an iPhone I remain wholly unable to order the cars other than by distance. Just can’t see anything to adjust.
I’ve now also had the fun of selecting London as my location but overlooking that the default geographical search area is worldwide. So useful to know what’s available in Santiago!

Where you see 'Distance' towards the top right, can you see on the same line (right side) a down pointer triangle?
That is what has to be pressed, to select other orders of the listing.
I am using at present an Android tablet and even with the generic web browser (which fails on some websites) this works OK.
With an iPhone, do you have alternative web browsers to try?
Chrome seems to work, when my normal browser fails.
Worldwide can be fun occasionally, to see what is going on elsewhere.

Yup - totally not tested on each browser. Pretty shoddy, but not unusual these days unfortunately.

What muppets wouldn’t test this stuff in a sandbox before launching it to your critically important new potential customer base…. If they don't test their webpage i wonder what the sw & electronics are like in the cars is what a wealthy samantha in the connected world would most likely be asking?….

When you go on the site before typing anything in the filters on the left go straight to location and put in London UK.
Then go back to where in the world and put in UK - on the left filters.
Then add whatever you want to search for again on the left.
I’ve just done it on the iPad but doubt any different on a laptop , and searched for the 15+ Vantage as my old one is for sale at Works and managed to find that ok.

The site is certainly less intuitive than it used to be but I managed to get it working OK - eventually.
I started off by putting in my nearest large town and it gave me two options, one being a synonymous town in the USA. I then tried selecting "Vantage" as a model and this got me into the listings, showing only post 2017 models. When I tried the 2008-2017 Vantage model from the list on the LHS it told me there were none available - which I knew to be wrong. I then opened up the "Variants" sub-menu and was able to select 4.7 Coupe and suddenly I had a list of available cars, including USA and Netherlands. At the top left there is a "Region" pull-down menu where you can select the country(ies) you are interested in.
A bit clunky but not a complete disaster - I've seen much worse - but I don't think it's an improvement on what went before. I suspect someone has website coders with time on their hands.

There is a Taraf in Beverley Hills.
Red 5 is for sale. Hope the owner enjoyed driving 101 miles in 5 years.
All the extra kit is displayed on the floor. Is it obligatory to wear the red flying suit when driving ? -

Something within the advert, maybe the photo, indicated this car is Red 5.
If so, then it was not won, but paid for. Think list was £275,000.
Red 10 was the prize car in the raffle, with ticket revenue given to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
That car was won by one of our fellow forum members, a DB9 owner if I can remember correctly.
The prize winner used the car extensively for a couple of years, to raise additional money for the RAF Fund.
After that the car was sold, I think to AM Cambridge.
Obviously we don't know the circumstances, but if it has taken 5 years and still failed to find a buyer, the obvious would seem to be, reduce the asking price. A 5 year old car that has just sat still, would put some potential buyers off immediately.
Wonder if it has been serviced every year ?
The Pre-owned listing does not seem to allow dealers to write any descriptions. Just link the build sheet. More efficient eh!
Therefore the car appears as a normal Vanquish S. We know it is a dealer special edition, but most may not. I suppose therefore, the asking price would seem even higher, compared other 5 year old Vanquish S cars.
EDIT - There is a one year younger Vanquish S Coupe at £140,000.
£315,00 does stand out.
