Wife's reaction to the new car

"It's beautiful but it smells (a lot)" and having opened the garage door one morning I agreed.

No leaks on the floor or in the engine bay but underneath there was a heavy film of muck and oil. 5 litres of Hyperclean later it smells much nicer. Some small areas are missing the hard clear resin (?) from stone damage.

What is the best material to use for a repair ?

Isnt all that Oil and grime acting as an aid to stop the rusting ??

When i had a PS fuid leak Austec said it was oiling up the chassis for me nicely !!

I don't think Kevlar rusts but it is hygroscopic

Wow, so your saying the WHOLE of the underneath of your car is Kevlar, what about chassis rails, outriggers etc etc etc...

Of course if your saying you only cleaned the kevlar body and left the rest of the detritous on it then i apologise...

Chassis will be getting the POR15 treatment RSN

The smell was almost certainy caused by a long standing power steering leak and major hose failure on the M5 when travelling " At speed"
