Just curious?

Anyone got a furious temper?

Where it manifests and with whom?

I’ve got terrible road rage. Not just hiding behind the wheel but have been in actual fights.

I’m a fking idiot and I don’t know why it bothers me..I must look pathetic and get annoyed with myself for letting it bother me.
But when someone does something stupid or cuts me up I just want to punch their head in.

Not me. For some reason I am cursed with the ability to express a brief burst of anger and then compose myself again. It doesn't linger with me although at times I wish it did. Sometimes you need fury, and for the most part I'm too relaxed. Any more laidback and I'd be lying down.

I never get angry. Anything potentially upsetting and I recognise the situation and use zen like mind control to keep me super cool and chillaxed to the max.

That’s why reactive frothers on here get so triggered by me all the time, they get all salty at my posts, then try to make me upset and get me angry and I just laugh at them.

Last time I got upset was years ago when I stood on a huge staple outside in bare feet and then when I was hopping around in pain, managed to kick a door frame and break my toe. Even then I was probably more in pain than any anger.

I don’t think I’ve ever beeped my horn in the car. I just try and avoid an accident and if I’ve avoided one feel happy and instead of wanting revenge just feel relieved and go on my way.

I've spent most of my adult life trying to get rid of one.

Once you manage to take a step back it's astonishing how much of your life it rules, and how much of it you waste just being angry at things. At my worst I was getting to a point where one stupidly minor thing like someone trying a bunch of expired coupons in the supermarket would knock me off balance for hours, even more if I reacted and then would have to go through both the anger and the realisation I'd been a complete idiot.

I was an utter st to work with the moment something wasn't perfect, and a pain to be around where I'd get in these black moods for seemingly no reason and have to take myself off alone so I didn't hurt people I cared about.

Worse, once people know they can get a rise you will become a target, because even if you're technically in the right your reaction will be so disproportionate you'll be treated as if you were wrong. Believe me that will be used against you a lot.

I've still never entirely been able to rid myself of it and every once in a while I get into a mad moment before catching myself, but life is so much better when you just let the small things happen and give a bit of benefit of the doubt. You enjoy your time a lot more when you're not carrying the slights of the day around with you well into the evening. I wish it had been caught earlier in my life before it developed fully, but I spent a lot of time around a lot of angry people and didn't realise being this easy to anger wasn't normal until way too late.

I'm happy and laid back, but show an incredibly bad temper with objects, particularly slow laptops, stuff I bang a body part on, mechanical parts at work etc.

Most of the time it's mild swearing in an annoyed tone, but on occasion gets to full on screaming which I always feel embarrassed about after the fact. More to the point, it puts my girlfriend on edge, and I don't want my kids to grow up seeing it. My Dad is a lovely bloke, but had the same type of temper when I grew up and I was terrified, even though I knew it wasn't directed at me.

I found the cliché walk away and deep breath does work, if you can remember to do it... which I often can't because I flip so fast.

I get annoyed by little things, but thankfully not big things, bending down 4 times to try and pick something up will get me far more riled than a car accident for instance.

Temper only comes out with games and things my own uselessness cant do, I get annoyed with myself more than anything, but am happy enough with that as I vent it instantly rather than storing it up and blowing a fuse big style .

And people on here judge you all the time, as they have no idea what you are really like, but that is what makes it fun, they judge you on how you type a few words, it is actually pretty funny, especially the ones that stalk you!

I did when younger when pushed or people trying it on. Now I am older I am just generally disappointed because the same stuff happens again and again in life but it's like watching an old film yet again.

These days only two things have the potential to really get me angry...........

Golf

and occasionally

my wife!

One I think I can fix with a nice new set of clubs

and the other probably just requires more practice down the driving range.
