Big Brother to return in 2023!

Can't say I was ever a big watcher of Big Brother, only delving sometimes into the earlier series...

I think that was always likely after the rumours started either late last year / earlier this year that it could make a return but that was when reports reckoned it might be via one of the US owned subscription / streaming services. The fact that it appears to be mainly part of the launch of ITV's new for '23 ITVX on demend / streaming service isn't surprising based on the amount of other "reality" shows they have already spread across ITV2 & ITVBe.
I guess the canning over the last few months of some of their longer running / higher rating shows like Celeb Juice and confirming that they wouldn't be renewing contracts on some of the US shows they've had the secondary rights to for years (due to most of them being owned in part / whole by Disney now) explains the freeing up of ££££ to pay for BB to come back.
No doubt it will still rate highly within certain age groups (which is more than likely why they've brought it back) as if the recent Love Island is anything to go by, there will always be a massive queue of people already registered with drama / modelling, etc, agencies in their '20's - '30's desperate for their chance at fame. And on the same card the celeb spin off will always be able to be filled with a number of the same regurgitated names of "celebs" desperate to be known once more.
