Broken thigh support

Hi all

I'm trying to figure out how to fix a broken thigh support on my E91. Can't get it to retract (i.e. it remains extended even if I don't want it there) - the mechanism doesn't catch when I try to close it.

Had a good Google for the issue and there are lots of fixes for motorised thigh supports, but not these manual ones (unless I've missed something).
