Parcel Shelf Pins

Hi all,

Somehow the previous owner broke the parcel shelf pins, which makes the shelf itself unstable and often askew. Not a good look for such a beautiful car. My local AM dealer says the will only replace the complete parcel shelf, which seems a bit excessive to me. Since it's a 2016 V8V N430, I was assuming that it's still a Ford sourced part. Does anyone know a part shop where I could find, ideally, the exact pin that's used ?

All of these tiny parts are of course made/sold by firms outside AM.

The rubber jacking locator plugs were mentioned on here some time ago, naming a supplier. I bought them from, I think an electrical parts supplier, for pennies.

HWM are the parts kings. Might be worth a call.

Maybe post a photo (another owner might help if you do not have any) on an appropriate forum. Someone must know a source.

You may find the pins have become unstuck and now sit inside the parcel shelf, you may hear them rattle around if you shake it. This happened to me about 3 months ago. The shelf can be gently pulled apart and my pins fell out. I then got some Gorilla glue and located the pin in the correct orientation and glued it all back together using several books as weight overnight. It's been perfect since.

Long shot, but have the pins fallen out and now sit in the boot area somewhere? if so, then the above explanation still works.

The pin has a small area that rotates but the section that sits inside the parcel shelf is quite a large flat area meaning it's very easy to glue.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately the pins are not in the parcel shelf, they've really broken. A little damage can be seen as well...



Any ideas on suppliers that ship to Europe ?

I was going to suggest just buying a whole new parcel shelf as I imagined they would'nt be that expensive in the grand scheme of things, but it seems they are a lot more than I expected. I guess that explains why the carbon fibre parcel shelf is such a huge amount.

I'm not going to post the price as the new resident trolls membership we seem to have attracted here will no doubt comment to say we are all filthy rich idiots again, etc etc....

Suffice to say I can see why you are keen to find just the lugs. Good luck, if you do find them post here as I'm sure many a person has a poorly fitting parcel shelf pins anyway, none of mine have been the snuggest of fits from new anyway.

Do you have any tips for taking it apart? my pins are a bit wonky so could do with some attention.

In the photo shown in the above post, the upper part overlaps the lower part and using the hole the parcel shelf pins come through you can gently prize them apart, one side of mine was better glued than the other side but after some careful cajoling you can get the two halves apart enough to realign the pins.
