4 night road trip from Cherbourg .. where should I go?

Next month after the schools go back.

Not hardcore driving, good quick roads though, excellent scenery, food and accommodation,

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

N13 from Cherbourg to Isigny sur Mer. Pick up the D514 coast road all along the D Day beaches finishing at Pegasus Bridge. You can then get the ferry back from Ouistreham.
If you get fed up with WW2 stuff you can take a detour to Bayeux and Caen.

St. Malo is definitely worth a visit - get some kouignettes from Maison Larnicol
Cabourg and Deauville / Trouville are definitely worth a visit - some nice restaurants in Deauville.
There's a Relais Du Silence called Ar Men Du at Nevez and it has a 1* restaurant attached. Really nice spot.
Concarneau is very nice too.
