Good evening all,

I noticed last night that there was a small puddle (0.5m x 0.2m) of clear liquid under the front spoiler on the the passenger side of my car. I'm not sure where this is coming from, possibly a radiator, or the air conditioning, or elsewhere?

The car has a full OPC service history, last service was summer 2021, car has done 30k miles.

Any suggestions?

The liquid seems clear though possibly a little soapy. It's not oil.

I last used the car 2 weeks ago. However, I was able to drive the car last night, with no warning signals coming on the dashboard. Is it dangerous to drive the car?

I am looking to book it in at an OPC down south, but would prefer to drive it north to an OPC up there (and see my folks), obviously a little concerned re a 200 mile drive.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Coolant would be pink and have a sweet smell. Likely this is condensation related to the cars air con. Often water pools under cars due to this. Though would expect it to evaporate off the floor in the recent heat. Unless that is your car is in a cool underground garage.

No, not an underground car park - ordinary garage.

Took car out last and still damp patch tonight and dripping (slowly).

I wondered if it could be a leak from the windscreen wiper fluid, given liquid felt a little soapy and wiper fluid top up on that side of car.

Concerned it could be from radiator and then possible problems driving up to Yorkshire to see folks next week.

Maybe the air conditioning vents dripping water. Noticable at this time of the year whilst using the A/C and you see it on a dry surface.

+1 on leaking washer fluid; have you got headlamp washers on your car?

The system can pressurise slightly as the temp goes up - maybe its pushing some out of the jets? Operate them and compare the fluid (fits with the soapy description already though).

No re headlamp washers.

I'm going to try filling up the windscreen washer and see if the leak increases.

I have the car booked in at an OPC down south for next week.

Actually, it does have the headlight washers (not sure what I was thinking there) and having now discussed with an OPC, believe this may be the problem.

Thanks for the comments and advice.
