The 2.0 B47 Twinpower diesel engine in which cars?
Discussion
This might be a silly question but is it still used?
I had a go in a 225D recently and was blown away by the performance and economy.
220+bhp and just wondered if it's still available in any other models?
I've looked and most 2.0D seem to be only 190hp, is it the same engine but more refined?
Any help would be appreciated.......

Same 2.0 engine across the whole BMW range from the 316d 114bhp to the X5 25d 228bhp. It's the same with the petrol engine, the engines are modular so the B38, B48 and B58 are just 0.5 litre per cylinder. Makes development and production cheaper.
Its still being used in G series cars.

You could get that engine in many models until recently. Problem is they are very rare as most thought the 190bhp or even 150bhp version enough or wanted a six pot in a larger car. This is probably not a complete list but from memory in addition to the 2 series coupe:
F20 1 series
F30/1 3 series
F10/11 5 series
G11 7 series
X1
X5
F20 1 series
