It occured to me that programmes like this can be enjoyable if you carry out the following actions prior to watching:
1) Drink 3 cans of your favourite beer or half a pint of vodka (whichever makes your reasoning go up the wall!)
2) Press mute (then you can't hear what they are saying)
3) Put on loud trancey music (otherwise it'd be a bit quiet wouldn't it)
It all looks much more tolerable
I wonder whether Captain Ted could arrange for PHers to guest with Jeremy at some point?
You know the sort of thing? Lend me a Zonda for the week, get my thoughts ito the car as a daily commuter...
I think the current standard of performance car reviewing on ze box is risible; we need a bit of passion in our presenters - 3 minutes of Plato simply spinning around on his handbrake and mummuring platitudes at the camera before revisiting what a bunch of giggling, monosyllabic imbeciles reckon to the glovebox in a Daihatsu Tdi people carrier is patently NOT good a good ent.
We need much more of JC, a TuscanR, Murcielago, 360, GT2, Ultima GTR and Bruntingthorpe, all mixed up with lashings of hot dialougue and general ranting.

What I don't get is that car company's complain when someone like Jezza says something bad about their car!
Sorry but if your going to make cars, whether they be good or bad your going to get critisism!
He is only telling us what we want to hear, there would be no point in saying that a truely awfull car was a masterpiece, because then we wouldnt watch the program or complain about the presenter!!
Can't wait to see what Clarkson has to say tomorrow.....erm tonight on Top Gear, thoroughly looking forward to it!
