Vanquish S - Car Play

Hi all

Picked up a 2018 Vanquish S today - love the car.

I have an Apple Car Play issue - I’ve had it working perfectly a couple of times - but now when I connect my phone it briefly flashes up the charging symbol then disconnects again. I’ve tried a few different iPhone cables so it’s not that

Car is under a full Aston Martin approved used warranty so I’ll get them to take a look if needed

In my vanquish S volante - the apple car play only works from one of the 2 usb ports in the central armrest storage compartment - for me its the drivers side (left hand usb) - but there again mine is LHD, so maybe different on UK spec cars...

As Andy says make sure you are using the USB port A. Also, give your iPhone a reboot, sometimes after a system update not all services get started.

Power it off completely then power it back on.

Agree with Davil, it might be the phone. I installed an aftermarket CarPlay system in my wife’s Range Rover. She kept having problems which I couldn’t figure out as it always worked fine when I used it. I accused her of various degrees of ineptitude & technical stupidity until it dawned on me that it was her phone which was the issue. I had much apologising to do.

My experience is that using a high quality cable can solve the problem. I use Anker cables but 'cheap' ones caused lots of issues.
